Save, Build, Finish!

🧰 Main Buttons in the Panel

These three buttons are essential during your HUD development. While they're intuitive, here's a clear and concise breakdown of what each one does:

💾 SAVE — Save Project

Saves the current state of your project to the server.

  • The system has Auto Save every 60 seconds.

  • Every time you make a change, it automatically saves in the background.

  • This ensures you don’t lose progress in case of power outages, disconnects, or browser crashes.

🧠 Tip: You can also save manually by clicking the button or using the shortcut Ctrl + S.

🧱 BUILD — Build HUD

This button sends your project data to Second Life and physically builds your HUD.

  • Any time you make a change and want to test it, click BUILD.

  • The process takes just a few seconds (usually less than 5s, depending on the project size).

  • Use it whenever you update buttons, functions, assets, or targets.

💡 Get used to hitting BUILD frequently during development!

FINISH — Finalize Project

Use this button only when your project is complete and fully functional.

  • When clicked, the system:

    • Removes all assets from the object (textures, sounds, materials).

    • Deletes the BUILD script from the HUD.

    • Keeps only the essential data needed for the HUD to function.

    • Ensures that no one can view or copy the UUIDs used.

🔐 Ideal for protecting your content before selling or distributing the final product.

❓ I finalized my project, but want to edit it later...

No problem!

  • Just drag the *BUILD script back into the HUD.

  • When the menu appears, click EDIT.

  • Your project will be restored in the panel and ready for editing again.

✅ You never lose your original project, even after finalizing!
